Post-Storm Update – Friday 9/3

Exciting news!  In a statement released by City Councilmember At-Large Helena Moreno, Entergy is projecting that power will be restored to Upper Hurstville on Sunday 9/5.  Of course, this may vary for individual homes and structures that may have specific damage.

We continue to be in touch with NOPD and Garda World.  As you would expect, both organizations are dealing with limited resources.  Here is the status as of Friday…

NOPD

Police officers have understandably been stretched very thin.  Nevertheless, 4-hour patrol shifts are expected to begin on Sunday.  The NOPD patrols are supplemented by Garda World private patrols.

GARDA WORLD

We continue to share patrols with nearby security districts due to limited staffing.

PATROL MOBILE PHONE

The UHSD phone number (504-451-1614) remains active and available to call for an escort to and from your home.  If you feel insecure leaving your home, do not hesitate to call for an escort.
