08 Jan NOTICE REGARDING THE 2020 UHSD PARCEL FEE
Attention Upper Hurstville Security District property owners, Please be advised that 2020 UHSD parcel fee of $475.00 was inadvertently excluded from the property tax bills mailed out in December 2019.
The City has added the $475 fee to the account balances of non-exempt property owners and will send an additional bill for the parcel fee as soon as possible.
Property taxes shown on the December bill are still due on January 31, 2020.
Because the City is still working with a compromised computer system, the mailing date for the second bill is unknown.
If you would like to pay the parcel fee with your property tax, you can call 1-888-387-8027 to confirm your total amount due which at this time should be $475 greater than shown on the paper bill that was mailed in December, or simply add $475 to the tax amount shown on the December paper bill.
When calling the 888 number you will need your assessment number which you can look up on the assessors web site here: http://nolaassessor.com/
For online tax payment, there is currently a temporary system available which DOES NOT provide the amount due and AT THIS TIME only accepts credit cards with a convenience fee of 2.49%.
The city hopes to restore bank draft fee free online payments by bank draft soon. Once the full payment system is restored, online tax payers should see the additional $475 included in the amount due.
Please email info@upperhurstville.com if you have any questions.
***NOT EVERYONE ON OUR EMAIL LIST OWNS PROPERTY WITHIN OUT SECURITY DISTRICT which includes parcels on squares between Nashville, Magazine, Prytania and Exposition (Audubon Park) – also if you have an age freeze, disability freeze or are a non profit you may be exempt from paying this.
