Security District Board of Commissioners and Residents Association which work to maintain security and quality of life on the squares bounded by Magazine St., Exposition Blvd., Prytania St. & Nashville Ave. The Security district budget is funded by parcel fees on non exempt parcels, and the Resident's Association is funded by membership dues. Both boards are made up of property owners in the district who volunteer to serve.

Several reports have been posted on NextDoor.com of car break-ins and armed robberies involving a silver Infiniti sedan occurring in multiple neighborhoods during various times of the day.  Several of these crimes were committed in the UHSD and AAZSD.  According to our patrol coordinator for our off-duty NOPD officers, one of the individuals was caught on Monday, 12/12/20.  The investigation is ongoing as there are additional suspects.  Please be aware of your surroundings at all times of the day and night.  Remember, our patrol is available 24/7.  Call them if...

A Crime prevention reminder from NOPD second district below regarding the recent rise in automobile theft and burglary. This statistic stands out:  In October, 22 vehicles were been reported stolen. Fully half of those vehicles had the keys left in the vehicle. Of the 40 reports of vehicle burglary in this period, 39 showed no sign of forced entry -- indicating the vehicles may have been left unsecured. A residential burglary was reported in the 6200 block of Camp Street on February 2 around 6:38 p.m.   The  resident's report to the Upper Hurstville patrol indicated that the side window of the home had been broken and a laptop computer was missing.   There is no further information at this time.  Anyone with information is asked to report it to the NOPD, 2nd District....

At approximately 10:45 am  while on patrol, Lt. R. Bush and Sgt. C. Hollinger responded to an armed robbery call from the NOPD scanner.
