Security District Board of Commissioners and Residents Association which work to maintain security and quality of life on the squares bounded by Magazine St., Exposition Blvd., Prytania St. & Nashville Ave. The Security district budget is funded by parcel fees on non exempt parcels, and the Resident's Association is funded by membership dues. Both boards are made up of property owners in the district who volunteer to serve.

Tomorrow (10/19/21) at 6:00 pm, there will be an informational Zoom meeting (link info below) with the developer and architect for the property located at 6038 Camp Street.  This proposed project involves the following notable elements: the partial, but significant, demolition of an existing single-family, one-story structure; a large, two-story camelback addition to this structure; the subdivision of the lot into two lots of record; and construction of a second, all-new residence on the re-subdivided lot.  Also to be considered is the loss of existing off-street parking spaces serving both the current and proposed residences while adding substantial residential square footage to the block.

Upper Hurstville residents may be familiar with a very similar project currently being executed at 1028 Eleonore Street.  These projects are entirely unrelated, but the issues at play appear to be similar.

Note that the developer/property owner does not require any zoning variances to execute this project as proposed, but he is seeking approval from the HDLC to demolish more than 50% of the existing structure.
