Post-Storm Update – Tuesday 9/7

City Councilmember Joe Giarrusso released to following update this morning…

“Fresh off the presses from [Entergy New Orleans]:

I just got some good information today for that area. There is are a couple of bad switches coming out of the feeder from the substation. They are going to work a plan to bypass those switches today. Once that is done, the Henry Clay and West Riverside areas should come back up.”

NOPD

Police officers have been patrolling on 4-hour shifts since Sunday.  The NOPD patrols are supplemented by Garda World private patrols.

GARDA WORLD

We continue to share patrols with nearby security districts due to limited staffing.

PATROL MOBILE PHONE

The UHSD phone number (504-451-1614) remains active and available to call for an escort to and from your home.  If you feel insecure leaving your home, do not hesitate to call for an escort.
