Security District Board of Commissioners and Residents Association which work to maintain security and quality of life on the squares bounded by Magazine St., Exposition Blvd., Prytania St. & Nashville Ave. The Security district budget is funded by parcel fees on non exempt parcels, and the Resident's Association is funded by membership dues. Both boards are made up of property owners in the district who volunteer to serve.

Joint Neighborhood Crime Meeting on Thursday, May 18th

The Hurstville Security and Neighborhood Improvement District has called a neighborhood meeting with District A Councilmember Joe Giarrusso and NOPD Second District Captain Nolan to discuss the recent uptick in crime in the Uptown area.  

Surrounding neighborhood organizations are invited to participate.  All are welcome to join in on Thursday, May 18th, beginning at 5:30pm at the Jewish Community Center on the corner of St. Charles and Jefferson Avenues.
